Introducing You to the Smokies

via watery foundation
The Great Smoky Mountains are a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains, located along the Border of North Carolina and Tennessee. It is a temperate deciduous forest, a biome characterized by trees that shed their leaves in the fall. In 1963, this mountain range officially became The Great Smoky National Park. Many were relieved that such a great piece of nature, and of history, had been saved. Today, it is protected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization; an official UNESCO site.
